THE CLIENT
Pamela has a deep love for food & entertaining. From owning a specialty foods store & catering company to performing as a cabaret entertainer in NYC, Pamela’s unique take on cooking mixed with theatrics has helped her to establish herself in a niche market, appearing on The Today Show, The Real Housewives of New York, Good Day New York, Lifetime, and as a guest judge on the Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay.
THE PROBLEM
Pamela came to me seeking help in streamlining & growing her online brand, building a community, and preparing to launch a new cookbook. Although she had a long and successful career, even appearing on top-rated cooking & TV shows, her online presence was disjointed and inconsistent. She knew she needed to up her game not only in order to appeal to publishers but also to attract more opportunities & clients.
THE SOLUTION
After analyzing Pamela’s brand & online presence, I knew that she needed to redefine the way she presented herself online in order to better engage a community. It was time for her to hone in on what made her unique and move from photo content to video content in order to create a stronger connection with her community. If she wanted to grow a community that was engaged with her & would eventually be interested in purchasing her cookbook, she would need them to know, like & trust her. She needed to be much more than just a collection of images on social media.
Transforming Pamela’s online presence required a multifaced approach. Through:
-Strategic consolidation of her online presence.
-Development & creation of original video content.
-Community building.
In 6 months we were able to re-shape Pamela’s online presence resulting in a well-rounded and multi-faced brand that positioned her as a leader through the creation and distribution of original video content.
THE RESULTS
Focus on standing out, not blending in.
Creating a strong personal brand that has the ability to cut through the noise and reach the right people is not a one size fits all approach, it’s about understanding what your unique value is and how to best deliver it to your audience. For Pamela, we focused on developing Instagram reels that highlighted her recipes while showing her personality, allowing her audience to form a connection with her.
She now has a growing and engaged online community that she continues to nurture in anticipation of her cookbook launch.
